Want the experience of spinning a fleece, but don't want to go through all the process of washing and cleaning a raw fleece? This "one-fleece" roving is perfect as it is roving made from one entire fleece and processed and cleaned by Yampa Valley Fiber Mill right here in Colorado.
 
I’m so excited about this new roving.  Wensleydale is a longwool and known for its long, lustrous fiber.  Even though the fiber is not a fine wool, the amazing thing about this fiber is it has a silky texture and can almost look like it contains silk.  Perfect for more a more drapey textile.   
 
Cactus Hill Farm is a Certified Organic farm. We do not certify our sheep or wool but our sheep are raised on organic feed and pasture. We like our animals to have space to roam, so all of our sheep are left out on pastures during the year and only penned up when babies are young. Cactus Hill farm is a multi-generational family farm and we strive to be good stewards of our land and of the lives we care for.
