Want the experience of spinning a fleece, but don't want to go through all the process of washing and cleaning a raw fleece? This "one-fleece" roving is perfect as it is roving made from one entire fleece and processed and cleaned by Yampa Valley Fiber Mill right here in Colorado.
 
This is a nice lofty fleece. It is not as soft as some of our other roving. The staple length is a little bit short, but it will spin or felt up nicely. This fleece is dark grey with light grey and white highlights.
 
Cactus Hill Farm is a Certified Organic farm. We do not certify our sheep or wool but our sheep are raised on organic feed and pasture. We like our animals to have space to roam, so all of our sheep are left out on pastures during the year and only penned up when babies are young. Cactus Hill farm is a multi-generational family farm and we strive to be good stewards of our land and of the lives we care for. All of our fleeces are skirted and the yuckiest parts removed.
