Lambing just keeps going!

The lambing started early this year, and is still going! The moms and lambs are kept in the barn after lambing, and then separated by hay bails in groups depending on the age of the lambs. Soon they will be big enough to safely turn out onto the pasture. Kept in a smaller area, the guardian dogs have an easier time keeping track and protecting them.

As the weeks go on, however, the hay bails get jumped onto by rambunctious lambs, and nibbled through by all.

These black and white lambs and ewes are so intrigueing. They are merinos! You tend not to see them too often, but they are quite popular this year on the farm! They are sure to provide some really fun experieces for hand spinners, so keep an eye out.
